The Port is fortunate to operate down at the waterfront in Stevenson and we love being able to offer beautiful, well-maintained parks and beaches that provide plenty of public access to the Columbia River and the incredible river views in the Gorge. It is a tradition for locals and visitors alike to spend their time off on the 4th of July  down here at the waterfront. Unfortunately, cleaning up the trash and debris that come with crowds has become a tradition for the Port as well. This year, we are asking for volunteers to come join us and help get our parks and beaches cleaned up the morning of the 5th before the trash can make it’s way into the River or into the local animal habitats.

Check in on July 5th anytime between 9:00am and 12:00pm at the entrance of the Stevenson Pier at the intersection of Russel and Cascade Ave. We will have trash bags and gloves ready to go, and as a thank you we will have water and refreshments to keep you hydrated and energized!

See you there!
