About redistricting
Every 10 years following the U.S. Census, municipalities and special-purpose districts in Washington state are required to review their voting districts to help ensure fair and equitable elected representation.  Populations growth and shifts within the Ports, three commissioner districts means that population in some districts has changed and boundaries may need to be shifted to the rebalance population for elected representation.
